[01]Workshop
The Prompt Lab: Innovation Starts with the Right Prompt
A morning in Einstein Hall on the art of talking to AI. We learned prompt patterns, the mistakes that make answers worse, and where AI actually earns its place, then put a template to work planning a trip across India. ✍️
- When
- 4 November 2025
- Where
- Einstein Hall, Galileo Block, Chitkara University
- Hosted by
- IE(I) CSE Student Chapter × DCSE, Chitkara University

[01]The template pattern ✍️
From my notes: use a template "when we know about exact pattern or desired output we want". Define the placeholders, give the shape of the answer, then hand over the task.
Template
For <Day>, visit <Location> at <Time> for <Activity>.
The days come from the itinerary ChatGPT 5 wrote from this template, on a screen next to mine. Tap a day, or watch it fill itself in.
- <Day>
- The day of the travel plan
- <Location>
- The place to visit
- <Time>
- The best part of the day to visit
- <Activity>
- What to do in that place
Example task
Create a day-wise travel itinerary for visiting India using the given template.
[02]What I learned
The template pattern
When you know exactly what shape the answer should take, give the model placeholders and a template, and it fills them in instead of guessing.
Common prompting errors
Lack of constructive information, random prompts and biased prompts. A vague question gets a beige answer.
Where AI is used
Sentiment analysis with NLP, cybersecurity, images, video, content and code.
Neutral is the hard part
In sentiment analysis, positive and negative are the easy calls. Neutral is where models struggle.
Healthcare, with safety
AI can help in healthcare, but only with safety, and only if your own knowledge is there to check it.

[04]The certificate
That's a wrap ✓For participating in "THE PROMPT LAB – Innovation Starts with the Right Prompt", 4 November 2025, Einstein Hall, Galileo Block, organised by the IE(I) CSE Student Chapter, Chitkara University. Signed by Dr. Kamali Singla, Dr. Gagan Singla and Dr. Bhavna Sareen. 📜
“A prompt is a spec. The clearer the shape you ask for, the less the model has to guess, and the more of the answer you can actually use.”
